Moore to attend launch of space shuttle Discovery in Florida
Congressman serves as a member of the Science Committee
(WASHINTON, D.C.) -- Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District -- Kansas) will travel to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, to attend the launch of Space Shuttle Discovery. Moore serves as a member of the Science Committee, and previously worked on the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics.
“NASA and the Discovery crew have worked diligently to make this return to space flight the safest shuttle flight in history,” Moore said. “I am grateful for the dividends space exploration brings to society. The work of NASA inspires people and changes lives. Our brave astronauts create new technology that goes far beyond the boundaries of just simple science.”
