Moore promotes flu vaccinations by getting his annual shot

(MISSION, KAN.) – Congressman Dennis Moore (3rd District) will receive his annual flu shot Monday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at St. Pius School in Mission. According to the Red Cross, influenza causes the hospitalization of an average of 140,000 Americans per year. Although people of all ages are infected, the elderly are among the most susceptible to the virus.

“Taking time out to become vaccinated is important considering the time and money that contracting the virus entails,” said Moore. “I encourage everyone to visit one of the numerous locations around the Third District to receive a vaccination for this potentially debilitating virus.”
