I have just created a website that has links and resources for young children, families and professionals. It is a work in process, but you may find it helpful... www.homepage.mac.com/dara_feldman If look under the "technology connections" part of my site you will find articles and a list of suggested software that may help you integrate technology into your program. Under "special projects" is where you will find links to our little family literacy project. I am going to try to update it tomorrow. The "teacher to teacher" section as a PowerPoint I did as a keynote which might be a good overview of technology and young children. One of the most powerful ways we use technology in our program is taking digital pictures of the children, pulling them into PowerPoint and doing a shared writing with the children to create electronic books. We then duplicate each slide and print the books out so that2 copies of the same slide is on 1 sheet, that way when we copy all of the pages back to back, we can cut the paper in 1/2 and it will already be collated. Check out our "class creations" page for a sample. Yo may also want to check out a Computer Family Night Program I created years ago.. http://www.mcps.k12.md.us/curriculum/littlekids/archive/computer_family_night.htm I hope this helps! Good luck.
