Eminent Domain

I firmly believe that the right to private property is one of our most fundamental rights. Countries lacking in property rights have very few other rights. Therefore the government should interfere with private property rights only in the most limited and compelling circumstances, such as the maintenance of national security. The government must never use eminent domain for private development or for purely financial reasons, such as increased tax revenue.
