Moore to host series of seminars to discuss future of social security

Expert panel will outline options to protect and preserve the program

(OVERLAND PARK, KAN.) -- Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District -- Kansas) will host a series of educational seminars to discuss the future of Social Security. The forums will include an overview of the options for change being discussed, including private accounts, as well as an explanation of the history of Social Security and how it works today.

“We all want to protect and preserve Social Security for our children and grandchildren,” Moore said. “I hope you will plan to attend one of my Social Security seminars to learn more about this important debate and share your thoughts.”

The panel will feature Scott Frey, Senior Policy Adviser, National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare; Dr. Max Skidmore, University of Missouri-Kansas City professor and Social Security expert; and Adam Bold, Founder/Chief Investment Officer of The Mutual Fund Store. Time will be provided for the panel to answer questions.
