PDF Files: Viewing, Printing, and Configuring Web Browsers
Portable document format (PDF) files are used by the Department
of Energy, Office of Environment, Safety and Health, to provide
the quickest download time and to present documents on-screen
at the highest possible resolution. The PDF format enables document
printing in color or black and white on any type of printer.
Text, graphics, photographs, and page layouts presented in a
PDF file retain their original format.
The PDF files on this web site have been created using
Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer, versions 5.0 or 7.0.
In order to view and print a PDF document online, your Web
browser must be configured to use Acrobat Reader
or a similar viewer. Use the links below to obtain PDF viewers,
web browsers, and instructions on configuring your viewer
to use PDF files.
Once the Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your
computer, follow the instructions below to download pdf files:
1. Right click on the PDF document and select the SAVE
TARGET AS option
2. Select the location on your hard drive to save the document.
3. Once the document has been saved, open the file.
4. Select PRINT from your browser menu.
