I am also privileged to be able to continue the Bill Archer Student Intern Program, a great tradition begun in 1971 by former 7th District Congressman Bill Archer. Each year, one junior from every high school in the 7th District is selected by teachers and fellow students to visit Washington, D.C. for a full week of in-depth study of our federal government. All expenses are paid by the Bill Archer Student Intern Foundation of Houston, and applications are available annually at each high school in the 7th District.
