As a member of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, I help to build awareness about the issues that affect children who have either run away or were taken from their homes. The Caucus attempts to find lost children and also to prevent future abductions. It also works to counteract the horrors some children endure when they are used for cheap or free labor. The Caucus seeks to coordinate local, state and federal levels of law enforcement to stem the tide of horrendous acts occurring to our children. Initiatives such as the Amber alert, Code Adam, Know the Rules and other programs are just a few examples of the progress made by the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus.
