*Membership changes are based on a Resolution offered by Rep. Barton on Dec. 13, 2007, before the Committee on Energy and Commerce that the Republican membership of the standing subcommittees of the Committee for the 110th Congress be changed as reflected in the list above. Also, due to the resignation of the Honorable J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) from the Congress effective on November 27, 2007, a motion was offered to the Full Committee on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, by Mr. Barton regarding the election by the House of Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO) to the full Committee membership, ranking behind Mr. Fossella, and that Mr. Blunt fill the vacancy on the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, ranking behind Mr. Pickering.
