Also, due to the resignation of the Honorable J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) from the Congress effective on November 27, 2007, a motion was offered to the Full Committee on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, by Mr. Barton regarding the election by the House of Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO) to the full Committee membership, ranking behind Mr. Fossella, and that Mr. Blunt fill the vacancy on the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, ranking behind Mr. Pickering.
