Take a look at www.mlanet.org and click on the 'top 10 most
useful' health information web sites. These are recommended by the
Medical Library Association. Probably the best is Medlineplus. It's
URL is www.medlineplus.gov. It has health information in Spanish also.

I'd think adult learners would find these useful and a source
to increase their knowledge of English. Lessons could be made from the
topics section. I have been planning to make content driven Spanish
lessons using Medlineplus in Spanish as the content. They will let me
make screen shots from the health topics section. The reading level, in
my opinion, is that of a newspaper. For example, El Norte from
Monterrey. Many of todays Latin American newspapers have health
sections. You can see them at www.lanic.utexas.edu.

You students could chose an online newspaper like The
Chronicle in Houston at www.chron.com to practice reading. And, it has
links to newspapers across the nation.
