Regarding readability...I haven't seen the study, I just make a habit
regularly of checking readability on documents at service organizations,
Head Start, hospitals, doctor offices, etc. Most are too complicated for 90%
of my students.

I seem to recall reading a piece that discussed the readability of the
voting papers in Florida that suggested that illiteracy might have had
something to do with it. Can any members of the list help out with the
