Linda,
Thank you for trying to put an end to the diatribe.  I joined this list in
the hope of finding ways to better serve my students  (methodologies,
materials, creative ideas, how to address specifid issues in the classroom,
etc.).  I respect everyone's right to state his/her opinion, and if people
want to have "heated" political discussions that's their right, but perhaps
we should then consider a separate political arm of this discussion group.
