Rep. Wexler Announces District Events
All Events Open to Press

(Boca Raton, FL) Congressman Robert Wexler will co-host a briefing for Holocaust survivors in Boca Raton with the United States Holocaust Museum and the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education at Florida Atlantic University on Monday, March 10th at 2 p.m.

The event will focus on the recently opened international Tracing Service Holocaust Archive at Bad Arolsen, which was mostly inaccessible to Holocaust survivors for over 60 years. Wexler, who chairs the Subcommittee on Europe and is a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Relations, and Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings led congressional efforts to fully open the world's largest repository of holocaust archives. Wexler who has chaired two critical hearings on Holocaust related issues in the Europe Subcommittee  is a leading advocate for the rights of survivors in Congress.

Congressman Wexler will speak on his work in Washington relating to Israel and the Middle East, calling for impeachment hearings for Vice President Cheney, and fighting for seniors to be included in the recently passed economic stimulus package.
