NARA is an independent Federal agency that helps preserve our

NAHRO is a professional membership organization comprised
of housing and community development agencies and officials, including
Public Housing Agencies, throughout the United States who administer
a variety of affordable housing and community development programs
at the local level. NAHRO's mission is to create affordable housing
and safe, viable communities that enhance the quality of life
for all Americans - particularly those with low and moderate incomes.
The PHADA newsletter, the Advocate, published 22 times
a year, covers housing legislation, HUD rules and notices, and
other pertinent issues. The Advocate includes articles that analyze
housing legislation, provide summaries of bills and HUD rules
and notices, as well as valuable information on the Internet,
Public Housing News To Use, and special reprints of housing-related
articles. Each Advocate also provides current job listings in
the field of public and assisted housing.
In partnership with others in the affordable housing
industry, the Housing Finance Commission develops and administers
financing programs that promote home ownership, encourage community
development, and make possible the production of affordable housing
throughout the state. Additionally, Commission programs assist
nonprofit organizations in the creation of facilities that address
a broad spectrum of needs.
