Greer Crossing

This facility is located along the Eleven Point National Scenic River and offers access to the Eleven Point River for boating and fishing. A picnic area is near the boat access. The boating access is one of the most popular launch sites for persons floating the Eleven Point. The campground is set back away from the water’s edge. Two trails are available for hikers.

Campgrounds: 19 single sites, mowed campsites offer seclusion and privacy, each with table, fire ring, and lantern post. Centrally located vault toilets. Drinking water is available May-October 22. Trash bins are available May-October. Nightly fees are $10.

Picnic Area: 8 single sites, each with table, lantern post and grill.

Hiking: A 4-mile trail follows the river and through typical Ozark hills up to McCormack Lake. A 2-mile loop leads the hiker part way to the lake and then back to Greer. This trail runs along the river and then back along the hillside above the river.

Boating, canoeing: Greer is a popular launching location for canoes. Swimming is not regulated. No lifeguard on duty.

Fishing: rainbow trout, small mouth bass, sunfish.

Campground host on site in summer.

How to get here:

From Winona, MO take Hwy 19 south 17 miles to Forest Road 3188, just north of Eleven Point Bridge. A paved road leads to the recreation area. Campground is located beside Eleven Point National Scenic River.

Open year-round; no water or trash containers after 10/22 and before 5/1, please pack out all your trash when no container is available.
