Just had to copy this from the NLA list -

Pre-Test

1. What are two top issues Kate Singleton says students want to explore in
the classroom?

2. What percentage of learners enrolled in federally funded adult education
programs are English language learners?

3. Why does Juanito say that in Cuba he was a German Shepherd?

4. What can you download from the Website of the US Pharmacopeia to help in
teaching health literacy to English language learners?

5. What new book has just been published by the Center for Applied
Linguistics and Delta?

6. Where can you find downloadable pictures of life in Southeast Asia?

7. What new publication has Fannie Mae developed for ESOL and ABE teachers?

Find the answers to these questions and more information related to working
with adult English language learners in the latest issue of NCLEnotes. If
you're on NCLE's mailing list you'll be getting the newsletter in the mail.
It is also available on NCLE's Web site at
http://www.cal.org/ncle/Nnotes111.pdf
You can also contact NCLE directly for a copy at the address below.

I also took a stroll on the NCLE web site and found a nice little collection
of resources that you should check out. Go to http://www.cal.org/ncle/
scroll down just a bit and click on the RESOURCE COMPILATIONS button, choose
from three collections Learning Disabilities and Adult ESL,
Assessment and Evaluation in Adult ESL, Civics Education for Adult English
Language Learners. Then choose from a variety of sources (articles, books
etc...).

Have a good day!
