NCCP: PROMOTING THE EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES -
National Center for Children in Poverty announces a landmark series
of publications examining effective strategies and public policy
opportunities to promote the emotional health of young children and
families and ensure school readiness. The series is intended as a
wake-up call, challenging communities all over the country to attend
to the mental health needs of young children and their families. The
first two policy papers: "Building Services and Systems to Support
the Healthy Emotional Development of Young Children - An Action Guide
for Policymakers," and "Improving the Odds for the Healthy
Development of Young Children in Foster Care," are now available
online.
