pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting

The House received a communication from Christopher P.
Carney, Member of Congress. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the
Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Carney notified
the House that he had been served with a subpoena for
testimony and documents issued by the Court of Common Pleas
for Wayne County, Pennsylvania, and that after consultation
with the Office of General Counsel, he would make
determinations required by Rule VIII.
The House received a communication from Joe Fabricatore,
Constituent Services Director. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the
Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Fabricatore
notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena
for testimony issued by the Court of Common Pleas for Wayne
County, Pennsylvania, and that after consultation with the
Office of General Counsel, he would make determinations
required by Rule VIII.

The House received a communication from April Metwalli,
Chief of Staff. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the
House of Representatives, Ms. Metwalli notified the House
that she had been served with a subpoena for testimony and
documents issued by the Court of Common Pleas for Wayne
County, Pennsylvania, and that after consultation with the
Office of General Counsel, she would make determinations
required by Rule VIII.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the
permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of
the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the
House that she received a message from the Secretary of the
Senate on January 16, 2009, at 10:29 a.m.: That the Senate

The Speaker laid before the House a message from the
President transmitting an economic report on the status of
the United States - referred to the Joint Economic
