Produced Energy and Water – How Can We Get Both for the Price of One? April 5-5, 2006, Fort Collins, Colorado. The Colorado Water Resources Research Institute (CWRRI) is sponsoring this workshop, which will enhance understanding of opportunities and challenges involved in converting produced waters to beneficial use. This will be accomplished through the assembly of disciplines and entities that can broadly characterize produced water sources, issues, and opportunities for responsible identification and development of realistic beneficial uses. The workshop will: identify the key opportunities and capabilities of state-of-the-art treatment technologies for produced waters; initiate discussions regarding public policies to facilitate the development of this valuable resource; and define a course of action to further evaluate and pursue these opportunities.
First meeting of the Hydrologic Impacts of Forest Management Committee. March 22-23, 2006, in Las Vegas.
