TSC scientist to enter prestigious fellowship

Joe Kubitschek, Hydraulic Engineer, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Technical Service Center, Water Resources Research Laboratory, will perform research as a fellow in the von Karmen Institute for Fluid Dynamics. Only 30 - 35 applicants a year are accepted into this 9 month post-graduate diploma program. Theodore von Karman, then the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Aeronautical Research and Development for NATO, established the Institute in 1956. The institute fosters research training and exchange of ideas between engineers and scientists of the NATO member nations. The program emphasizes research-based training via its world-famous Lecture Series and application-oriented research.

Joe Kubitschek has worked for TSC since 1991. He is a Ph.D. Candidate, Hydrodynamic Stability, University of Colorado at Boulder. He will be at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Rhode-Saint-Genèse, Belgium September 30, 2002 – June 30, 2003.
