Good afternoon,

The ERIC Clearinghouse on Adult, Career and Vocational Education has
produced five new ERIC Digests. They are available at no cost on the
ERIC/ACVE website (http://ericacve.org), as e-mail messages, PDF
attachments, or in paper copy. The Web versions should be available within
a week. Check http://ericacve.org/new.asp for exact URLs. Please send your
requests to ericacve@osu.edu and indicate the format you prefer. If you are
requesting paper copies, please include your mailing address.

Career Passports, Portfolios, and Certificates (#238) by Michael E.
Wonacott reviews how secondary educators are using to communicate students'
new and different sets of knowledge and skills to employers--passports,
portfolios, and certificates.

Career Development for Meaningful Life Work (#237) by Susan Imel looks at
career development theory and practices that foster the development of
meaning in work.

Adult Learning in and through the Arts (#236) by Sandra Kerka discusses
adult learning in the arts and addresses current issues in adult arts
education.

CTE Student Organizations (#235) by Bettina L. Brown reviews research on
outcomes students have realized from membership in these organizations and
describes how the organizations are changing as CTE evolves.

Gold Collar Workers (#234) by Michael E. Wonacott looks at the
characteristics of gold-collar workers and identifies implications of those
characteristics for employers and educators.

Again, send your requests to ericacve@osu.edu.
