Anna Eshoo,
You being an Assyrian woman serving in the congress as a democrat for such a long time makes me proud to be Assyrian. I can't say that I'm often proud to be Assyrian since I get very tired of their strong opinions about certain issues. So it is very refreshing to hear and read about you and it is the reason that makes me relate to you. Not just because I'm also an Assyrian woman, but also the fact that you're a democrat. Therefore, in my opinion, you have a sound judgment on the issues at hand. I wish you all the best in your new term in congress. I also would like to offer you my help and time, if you should ever need it.
Thanks,

Being a longtime Libertarian, I am supporting instead Brian Holtz as my Congressional Representative. Mrs. Eschoo, thank you for your service and advocacy on behalf of your constituents. I regrettably cannot wish you success in this election, but I do wish you well, and despite not having my vote, you will continue to have my respect.

Sincerely,

Michael Tsai

I have been a longtime supporter of Anna Eschoo (joined this page as soon as I heard about it), and echo the comments about her views being similar to mine, most notably her dedication to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability. I also applaud her responsiveness to the letters I have sent over the years about issues of the war and environment. While I continue to respect her as a leader, I am not voting for her in this election. The impending Obama presidency and Democratic supermajority in Congress leaves me thinking that the country still needs some conservative influence to balance out this new trend, which does not bode well for certain issues where I do not agree with liberal ideology (also, I do not agree with Ms. Eschoo on 100% of the issues).

I would really really really prefer that you fix the bailout bill before passing it. The current form is absurd. We're not even requiring the financial firms we rescue to pay us back eventually. Why not? You can visit www.LongspliceInvest.com/ricksblog for a more detailed discussion.

Yes it's a serious problem, but not so immediate that we need to act in haste and repent at leisure.

I am a constitituent, but Supporter might be the wrong term. Why is Rep Eshoo so enthusiastic about a $700B "bailout" bill that doesn't prevent a single home foreclosure? That's like paying a premium to clean up a flood while leaving all the leaky faucets running. We're very concerned that you're playing with the party rather than standing up for your constituents on this. Why do only banks and financiers - but no homeowners - deserver relief?
