Moore to deliver UPS packages wearing the "browns"
(KANSAS CITY, KAN.) — As part of his continued commitment to constituent outreach, Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District -- Kansas) will travel with a UPS driver and assist with deliveries on Thursday, August 14, wearing the brown UPS uniform.
“The more I know about my constituents, the better I can represent their interests in Washington,” Moore said. “This is an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand about an important employer in my district. With 3,200 employees in the area, UPS is a vital part of the Kansas City economy.”
UPS will loan Moore one of the company’s familiar brown uniforms while he shadows driver Tony Mitchell, a Bonner Springs resident. The route will begin at the new Cabela’s superstore in Kansas City, Kan. and will include deliveries to stores throughout the Kansas Speedway area.
“With the economic boom in western Wyandotte County, I expect an exceptionally busy morning of delivering packages,” Moore said.
