X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0c -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas Status: O Content-Length: 2422 Lines: 47 Hi all, I've just agreed to be the new moderator for the Workplace Literacy discussion list, so this is my "Hello, here's a little bit about me" message. I've been on the Workplace list for several years now, so I do have some history with the list. What I've seen taking place on the Workplace list in the past, for the most part, is the sharing of information about materials and occasionally about issues. I'm currently the coordinator/developer of the NIFL Workforce Education Special Collection, a job I've held for the last few years, and I see a natural tie-in between the two positions. Whenever a question has come up through the "contact us" feature on the Workforce Ed site that there is no information about in the collection and I can't answer, I've either posted the request to the Workplace list or suggested the person with the question join the list and post the request. You are the experts, and the best source for information that I know of! You have always been able to make suggestions or responses to those queries. I expect to continue to submit questions and pleas for help to the list. I'll also be able to let you know of new resources that I come across and add to the Workforce Ed special collection. Are there other functions that you would like for me, as the moderator, to assume? I am open to suggestions, and realize there are probably various opinions as to how active you would like for the moderator and the list to be. Please feel free to respond to the list or to me personally with your ideas. Thanks for your participation and support!
