Congressman Moore statement on the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks

Congressman Dennis Moore released the following statement on the 5th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks:

“Today, five years after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, we honor those whose lives were lost. We hold them in our thoughts and prayers. We must also remember the families of those victims, as well as the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our people and our country.

“On this day, we also recommit ourselves to the protection of our country’s security. Our homeland security needs are constantly evolving and we must all stay vigilant. The worst thing that could happen is if – God forbid – we have another incident and we have not done all we can to prevent it.

“I join all Americans in remembering the events of September 11, 2001, and in the call to ensure that we live in a world that is safe and secure.”
