The time to take responsibility for your family and community is BEFORE a diaster strikes. Local responders could be overwhelmed in a catastrophic event in your community. Emergency workers could take up to 3 days or more to reach you.

This site is split up into 4 main steps


Become informed with all the possible disasters in your area. Learn what to do, what to look for, and what to avoid.

You will make a plan that includes all the members of your family. This step will help ensure that each member of your family is on the same page should a disaster strike.

Making a disaster kit is easy and could be a life-saving task. You will learn how to make one, what to include, and how to maintain it.

Getting involved in your local community is a great way to help out each other and even save lives. Learn what programs are available and how to enroll.
