New Hampshire
Award Number 06HQAG0119, Category 3: Fifty States Initiative
The NH Office of Energy and Planning, with the active cooperation of the NH GIS Advisory Committee, plans to hire a consultant to complete a strategic GIS plan and business plan for New Hampshire. The GIS Advisory Committee has conducted research on strategic GIS needs for the State and has developed a first draft of a strategic plan, but believes that the input and guidance of an experienced, impartial expert will be valuable in producing a finished document that, wen adopted, can create a stronger Advisory Committee with increased participation from a wider pool of stakeholders, gain official State-level recognition of the Advisory Committee’s function, and establish a sustainable funding mechanism for the State’s GIS program, all of which will aid the State’s effort to participate in national geospatial data programs.
