Members of this list who are not already aware of a fairly new organization
will be very interested in the Partnership for Clear Health Communication,
started in the fall of 2002.

The Partnership for Clear Health Communication is a coalition of national
organizations that are working together to promote awareness and solutions
around the issue of low health literacy and its effect on health outcomes.
For further information, go to:

http://www.askme3.org/PFCHC

The Steering Committee of the Partnership includes Proliteracy Worldwide,
the National Council on Aging, the National Coalition for Literacy, the AMA
Foundation, California Literacy, the American Pharmacists Association, the
National Health Council, Pfizer, and many others.

Membership in the Partnership is open and can be facilitated online at the
above address.

I am interested in talking with any list member who is currently working
with the Partnership who might be willing to serve as a "guest speaker" on
this list to "talk" about the Partnership. The format for this idea can be
tailored to the speaker's schedule. Please contact me directly at
dwyoho@earthlink.net to explore this further.
