Opportunities for Discovery: Theory and Computation in Basic Energy Sciences. (BES advisory subcommitee on Theory and Computation)
The Subcommittee was charged with identifying opportunities for theoretical research within the scientific mission of BES. One purpose of the Subcommittee was to identify investments necessary to ensure that theoretical research will have an impact in the areas of importance to BES, and to assure that BES researchers will be able to utilize computational tools, including leadership class computing facilities.
