Congressman Aderholt speaks in favor of the pro-life Smith-Stupak Amendment

"What we are doing on this amendment is no small thing. Mr. Speaker, I believe it should be noted for the record that most americans do not believe that abortion is an appropriate form of family planning. To suggest it as such is simply wrong. It would never be considered proper within the United States and it isn't proper that taxpayers' money be spent for purposes overseas."
