Countries With Contaminated Heparin API

Ten countries have reported the presence of contaminated heparin API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) within their boundaries.

They are: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United States. Heparin containing the contaminant, oversulfated chondroitin sulfate, has been associated with serious adverse events, including deaths.
