Dreier To Lead CA GOP Congressional Delegation in 110th Congress

December 12, 2006

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA) was selected by his California colleagues to once again lead the California Congressional Delegation in the 110th Congress. Dreier said he will continue to advocate California’s needs in Congress and looks forward to working with his Democratic colleagues as well. He identified the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) as a top priority. He also said the delegation would work to maintain the economic policies that have contributed to California’s record low unemployment levels.

“Whether it be SCAAP, transportation, or water funding, California’s Republicans intend to remain a strong voice on behalf of California. We will be working with our Democratic colleagues to see that California’s needs are met and best interests are served in the new Congress. We will also fight to keep in place the economic policies that have helped California’s economy thrive in recent years. We believe it would be a mistake to undo the policies that have yielded such strong job growth, especially in California. A strong economy in California is vital to the economic health of the entire nation. We want to keep it going in the right direction.”
