Dreier Celebrates July 4th in the Foothills

July 8, 2008

SAN DIMAS, CA - Congressman David Dreier (R-Sam Dimas, CA), celebrated July 4th, 2008 in the Foothills.  Dreier attended multiple events and spoke with residents across the Foothills about the importance of honoring our nation’s history and ideals, and those who have fought in service of it.

“The Fourth of July is always an important time for our communities to come together and celebrate our shared experiences as Americans,” Dreier said.  “Every American has a unique story, but we are bonded by common ideals.  We are also bonded by our admiration of those who serve our country and preserve our many freedoms.  Our military men and women deserve our recognition and support every day of the year, not just on Independence Day.  But July 4th serves as a powerful reminder of the blessings we have as Americans.”

Congressman Dreier participated in many Independence Day events including an LDS Church flag raising ceremony in La Verne, the Sierra Madre July 4th parade, the La Verne Park Festival, a July 4th bar-b-que with seniors at Hillcrest Homes in La Verne, the Claremont Parade Reception, and the San Marino Parade.  Dreier was also the Wrightwood Mountaineer Days Parade Grand Marshal.
