Dreier Travels to Mexico,
Set to Visit with President Vicente Fox
June 28, 2004
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas), Chairman of the
House Rules Committee, is traveling in Mexico this week and visiting with
President Vicente Fox, as well as other national leaders in government and
law. During his meetings, Congressman Dreier will be discussing various issues
including economic growth, immigration and border security, and extradition
cases including that of Sheriff Deputy David March.
“Our relationship with Mexico is vital to our national security, as well as
our economy,” Dreier said. “I firmly believe in engaging with the Mexican
people and their leaders on issues like trade and job creation. I look forward
to meeting with President Fox and others to discuss the many issues affecting
our countries’ relationship.”
While in Mexico, Congressman Dreier will visit with President Fox, Mexican
Economy Secretary Fernando Canales Clariond, Members of the Mexican Congress,
Members of the Supreme Court, and business leaders.
