House Approves Resolution In Support of Troops
March 21, 2003
WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, voted early this morning to show strong support for our troops as they continue fighting to liberate Iraq. The resolution was approved with broad bipartisan support, 392-11-22.
"As we debate this resolution tonight, our young men and women are putting themselves in harm's way in order to defend our national security," Dreier said. "At this moment they deserve the support of every American. We know they will ultimately be successful in their effort to bring freedom to the people of Iraq and make the world a safer place for all. But they will face challenges, and their effort may take longer than we all think. In the coming days and weeks, we cannot forget the sacrifices they are making for all of us."
