We regret that we are no longer accepting requests for inauguration tickets. In the past week our office has received an unusually high volume of requests. Congressional offices receive a limited number of tickets, and as a result we will not be able to accommodate additional ticket requests. If you contacted our office prior to 11/13/08, you have already been added to our waiting list for tickets. Please note: this does not guarantee you a ticket. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (determined by the date of your request). Our office will send an email update to those on the waiting list as we get closer to the inauguration in order to keep you apprised of the situation regarding tickets.
Congressional offices do not have access to tickets for the Morning Worship Service, Procession to the Capitol, Inaugural Luncheon, Inaugural Parade or Inaugural Balls. For more information about these and other Inaugural events in our Nation's Capital, please visit the 56th Inaugural website: http://inaugural.senate.gov
For more information on the Inaugural, including: road closures, building access, and public transportation please visit the U.S. House Sergeant at Arms: http://sgtatarms.house.gov
Thank you again for your interest. I hope to see you in Washington as we inaugurate Barack Obama our nation's 44th President.
