Information Technology Liaison Office - Programs

The IT Liaison Office is responsible for all policy, planning, and operations associated with identifying and implementing electronic business solutions throughout the VA Supply Chain Management System with specific focus in acquisition and logistics operations.

Developing and implementing projects designed to install Electronic Commerce (EC) systems in VA business programs.

To that end, the IT Liaison Office performs research, conducts studies, and prepares business cases to identify the most modern EC technologies in acquisition and logistics management. Functions include concept development, functional requirements analysis, product evaluations, prototype development, solutions acquisition and implementation, program management, business process reengineering, and change management.

The goal of this organization is to become a leader in the use of acquisition and logistics EC solutions within the Federal Government.

The result is management of each project’s scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources in a manner that mitigates any associated risks.
