Description

 

The upgrade of NASA equipment tag# 2048512 plus six (6) untagged smaller units should be done by the original manufacture, Innovative Scientific Solutions Inc (ISSI) of Dayton Ohio. These LED units have been specifically developed for the technique referred to as pressure or temperature sensitive paint (PSP, TSP). Stability, appropriate optical filtering and pulsed timing are critical to making accurate measurements in NASA test facilities. The upgrade of these units to the latest light emitting diode technology will provide a ten times increase in light intensity to excite the TSP/PSP needed for use in the supersonic test regime. ISSI having developed and built the LED units over the past seven years has the only expertise to modify the current light sources and electronics.
