Description
 
NASA/GSFC plans to issue an RFP for a Multi-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with an effective ordering period of 36 months. The contract will be for fabricated items such as, but not limited to, instrument components, structures, fixtures, assembly tools from Goddard Space Flight Center designs, or Contractor designs. The task orders issued against the proposed contract could require assembly of fabricated items and essential documentation. The task orders will be issued in accordance with Section C: Statement of Work which is attached. The delivery schedule for an individual item shall be identified in each issued work order.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.

This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1.

The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 332999 and 500 employees, respectively.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about October 22, 2008 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about November 21, 2008.

An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".

The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
