CONGRESSMAN CALLS ON REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP TO SUPPORT EDUCATION BILL

WASHINGTON - A strong supporter and cosponsor of HR 4094, America's Better Classrooms Act, U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) joined U.S. Department of Education Secretary Richard Riley to highlight the need to pass HR 4094.

"Local school districts need help in building new schools and replacing old buildings that are falling down and are not conducive to learning" said Costello. "I have urged the Republican Leadership to take up this legislation before the end of this session of Congress."
