COSTELLO ANNOUNCES USDA GRANT FOR CITY OF MOUNDS
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the city of Mounds has received a $19,725 Community Facility grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to purchase a used police car for the Mounds Police Department.
“This grant will help improve public safety,” said Costello, a former law enforcement official. “USDA funds complement local and state resources to help meet the needs of our communities.”
