COSTELLO MEETS CHESTER YOUTH AT 2006 INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS CHILDREN'S BURN CAMP BREAKFAST

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) met with Terry Jones, a 15 year old from Chester, at a breakfast held as part of the 2006 National Children's Burn Camp. The Burn Camp, sponsored by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), is a week long program that gives young burn survivors the opportunity to share their experiences while touring Washington, D.C.

Terry, who has helped at the Burn Camp in Southern Illinois for several years, was accompanied at the National Burn Camp by Captain Ron Clark of the Murphysboro Fire Department.

"I applaud the International Association of Fire Fighters for sponsoring this event," said Costello. "I salute the brave survivors for their courage in battling back from their injuries and commend all the volunteers who work at the Burn Camps each summer."
