Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) has been awarded a $201,086 grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used to study nicotinic AChRs in histaminergic neurons.
"This type of research yields important health information that improves quality of life and leads to economic efficiencies," Costello said. "I will continue to support the research mission of SIUC."
