Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Luhr Brothers, Inc., located in Columbia, has been awarded a $9,209,949 contract by the U.S. Army. The contract is for repairs of eroded shoreline with the placement of stone protection, excavation and backfill in Galveston, Harris and Chambers Counties, Texas.
"I am glad that a local company is participating in this important work," said Costello. "Our water infrastructure has many needs and I will continue to work to make them a priority of the federal budget."
