Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that several school districts in the 12th Congressional District have received funds through the Small Rural Schools Achievement program of the U.S. Department of Education. The funds can be used for a variety of purposes, including teacher quality, technology improvements, innovative programs and safe and drug-free schools.
"Education is the key to success, especially in the economy of the 21st Century," said Costello. "These funds help students in rural areas have access to a quality education."
