- COSTELLO PRESENTS FEDERAL FUNDS FOR NATIONAL GREAT RIVERS RESEARCH CENTER AT LEWIS AND CLARK COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Godfrey, IL - On Friday, December 3, 2004, U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) presented a $540,000 mock check to officials with Lewis and Clark Community College at the Lewis and Clark Community College Board Room and President's office located on the LCC Campus in Godfrey, Illinois.
Costello presented the check to Dr. Dale Chapman, Lewis and Clark Community College President and Illinois State Senator William Haine.
The check represents funds Costello recently secured for continued work at the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center, a collaborative effort between Lewis and Clark Community College, the University of Illinois and other partners, to monitor and study river systems, watersheds and their ecology. Costello has previously secured over $1.3 million for the project.
