Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $189,656 grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for a research project entitled: “Regulation of Pro-Convulsive Circuitry by Kainate Receptors.”
“Federally-funded research results in many positive developments for society and SIUC continues to distinguish itself by the quality of its academic contributions,” Costello said. “I will continue to support these efforts.”
