SHAWNEE COLLEGE FOUNDATION RECEIVES USDA LOAN

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Shawnee College Foundation, located in Ullin, Illinois, has received a conditional commitment for a $1,000,000 Community Facility Guaranteed Loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to construct a 52 unit dorm building on the campus of Shawnee Community College.

"Shawnee Community College is a tremendous educational asset in Southern Illinois," said Costello. "The student housing made possible though this funding adds to the value of this institution."
