SELinux on Cebit report

On friday afternoon, Carsten and me held a presentation about SELinux at the Linuxpark on Cebit, europes largest computer technology fair.

The presentation was about 45 minutes, plus 20 minutes of questions, overdrawing the alloted timeslot considerably, which wasn't a problem as we were the last presentation that day.

The audience area was small, but packed. My guess would be about 60 or so people, though I'm pretty bad at guesses like that. There were many questions, and the audience was very interested and present.

Amin Ott from RSBAC was also there, he held a presentation about RSBAC earlier that day and was in the audience of our presentation, just as I had listened to his. He's a nice guy, we had a good talk afterwards, and I learned that he actually lives in the same city as I do. :)

The most interesting result here was that a good part of the audience had apparently heard about SELinux before, and when Carsten asked who is already using SELinux, a good number of hands went up. This is quite different from my earlier experiences, where only a minority of the audience seemed to have had any prior exposure.
