Research
At the Rocky Mountain Research
Station I assist with multiple studies ranging from lab experiments examining
germination and storage requirements for big sagebrush (Artemesia tridentata) to field research on
post-fire rehabilitation and native forb field production. As an undergraduate
student I researched how forest edges affect various characteristics of
canopy-dominant trees in north Idaho. I also assisted with butterfly surveys,
vegetation surveys, and collected data to study nitrogen movement along forest
edges.
Interests and Hobbies
Restoration, riparian ecology,
environmental education, outdoor recreation.
